More than a household, House Blue Flames, is a military-style hierarchical Leather House. Here we are focused on holding space and creating a culture where members are encouraged to travel their spiritual paths, discover their hidden talents, develop their hard and soft skills, and creatively engage their local communities with excellence in service as transformative leaders and skilled servants.

Vision Statement

Mission Statement
To build and lead a principle-driven Household that prioritizes alignment over access, accountability over assumption, and leadership that humanizes the role without compromising the integrity of the House. We exist to identify, equip, and support those who are prepared to serve, build, and uphold the standard through evidence-based leadership, service, behavioral consistency, and earned authority.

Our people-first culture means actively creating a desirable environment that considers and fulfills the needs of our members and fuels their passions. We focus on the spirit of those making the journey and how the various relationships are developed and sustained.
Procedures and Systems
Developing and maintaining adequate procedures and systems that fit our purposes is critical and will result in a more efficient House. However, procedures and systems alone do not change the behaviors and attitudes of our people.
Understanding the Numbers

Understanding the Numbers involves educating members to understand financial reports and gain insight into our financial position. With this information, members can make more informed decisions about allocating House resources and working together toward its goals.
VMOSA
VMOSA (Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategies, Action Plans) is a strategic planning process we use to set and achieve short-term goals. It builds consensus and grounds our members to keep sight of our long-term vision as we develop practical ways to enact change within our community and culture.
Massive Education
(Learn, Practice, Execute)
Massive education gives members the essential tools to build a functional knowledge base. This process aids in the acquisition of technical knowledge and skills germane to operating at higher levels within the HBFMD community, moving them naturally into their respective leadership and followership roles.

We teach our members that there is "Honor in Service" regardless of their position or role. This philosophy is derived from the Latin "Veneratio quod diligo in servitus," which translates into English and means "The reverence that I love in servitude."

Laying the Bricks

By "Laying the Bricks," we mean the path we take to create the framework around which the House can function as we develop our new social construct. It defines how new members are accepted, the selection and function of leadership, our procedures and systems, and the decision-making processes. These underpinnings determine how our new social construct is organized and functions.

Building Villages deals with establishing structure early in developing our new social construct. This structural development is flexible and occurs in proportion to all projects of the House, so it occurs in parallel with all growing accomplishments and takes place in tandem, side by side. This approach means we think about functionality from the beginning of the new social construct's life and throughout its development. As our House evolves, so will our mindset evolve while developing the new social construct.

Trusting The Process is about our need for perseverance and patience as we develop our new social construct. No matter how hard or futile that feels, we still have to wake up daily, put one foot in front of the other, and look for potential opportunities, even in ambiguous situations. We can choose to waste our time worrying about the alternative to a growth mindset and give up - a sure path to missing out on success, or we can trust the process like our ancestors who've never given up and have done great things.
